RE: Too much technology for driviers distracting?
Another problem is that those nav screens double in most cases as TV screens, so I know drivers who regularly watch movies... scary.
RE: Taxis and tips
Just realize what distance you are going, and consider that. Drivers usually are compensated per drive, not per mile, so consider fuel/wear/tear on vehicle and how you were treated.
What I am saying is, the change to round up to the nearest dollar is NOT enough.
RE: how do you stay awake
Just my $.02 (but with the economy it is more like $1.50), if you are trying to find ways to stay awake, get out from behind the wheel. You are driving a large vehicle or pulling a trailer and alert driving is a must. Too many truckers, and drivers are tired, don't endanger the ones you love by driving tired.
Just a note, some people can drive 10-15 hours, some I know can drive 24-30 hours before they get tired, so know your limits.
RE: New Type Gas Pumps Being Installed
I heard on the news that some pumps aren't able to handle the +$4.00 a gallon prices so they have to sell 1/2 gallon quantities to calculate the price.
That is okay, I can't handle that price either...
RE: Selling and title questions.
In reality, the finance company does not ever need the title, unless they hold it like here in AZ. Once you get the money (or they do), pay them off, they send you a lean release, and you go to DMV. They should not need to see the money. When you sell a car, the lein holder only wants to see the money to release the loan, not the title.
This does not make sense to me either.
RE: sway control???
with your vehicle/trailer ratio, I would simply get a friction sway, don't worry about the weight distribution part that some dealers recommend. I am getting one for my set up too, I understand completely.
AZ Camping Memorial Day Weekend
Hey, fellow Arizona folks!
I am thinking about a boon docking trip to Cinders OHV park Memorial Day Weekend. We would leave Saturday (I work until 2:30) and group up there. If you have 4x4s, Quads, RC, or just family fun; everyone is welcome! I want to bring a generator for power (my batteries are toast)if I can find one to borrow.
What do you think... any takers?
RE: OK, what's this '92 Lexus LS 400 worth?
NADA puts the value at 5287 LOW, 6637 CLEAN, and 7687 HIGH... $6,00 is fair. Teh car is good condition. I have bought many cars, and Lexus (read Toyota) are the best. Good deal, maybe, but if you could talk him into a bit less, go for it.
Those of you saying 2500, come on, sell your car and I will low ball you, see how it feels.

RE: Top Gasket Repair
It is not the ABS cracking, it is the rubber seal.
One piece, over $300.00 for the 14' piece and 2 hours install at dealer, so I am looking for options to extend the life, I need to get that money.
RE: Credit bureau and FICO, what's up?
Time. As time goes on, old records gp away and it may be that an old credit hurting item fell off this quarter. We are talking a 5-7 year item.
RE: injuries while camping?
you don't want to know, when we camp, it involves 4x4s and that is dangerous. I have seen broken ribs, legs, vertebre, and rolls that loose fingers.
If you want to talk about 4-wheeling safety, we stress it for these reasons. I have not had any of these, but safety rules were broken and warned before each of these happened (except the broken back, equipment malfunctioned)
Top Gasket Repair
So I was washing my PUP with it folded down and noticed a few cracks in the front storage area (small but worth repairing (if you can give me some hints I appreciate it) but I noticed a more pressing issue, I think.
The rubber seal around the top of my PUP has split and cracked almost all the way around the front edge. How does one go about repairing this? Silicone, Gorilla Glue? Dealer only repair? what should I do. Living in AZ, I am not worried about rain getting in right now, but it is worth looking into.
